We are very happy to welcome volunteers into school.  Some volunteers assist with class trips, some do extra-curricular clubs, and some help children with their reading among other things.

If you would like to volunteer at St James then we do ask you to complete a DBS 'enhanced' check (from the disclosure and barring service).   This can take a while to complete this check, so please ask well in advance of the date you would like to start volunteering.

We also require all volunteers to complete  Safeguarding training and induction with our Designated Safeguarding Lead before helping in school.
